We should all do what we can to help this man, in addition to the death sentence of a Police Officer going to jail, does this mean he also loses his pension rights?
I hope they keep him in a somewhat safe place, I myself would prefer solitary confinement to stay alive.
This conversation on this man should not even be taking place!
Can you imagine being the only law enforcement for 180 miles?

It appears that the world around us is going bonkers, including the Justice system. In my training in the LAPD, we were trained to shoot only in deadly situations, and it was double tap and if suspect was continuing in a deadly manner, the final shot was a head shot. But it seems the system is letting us down. There are those who are in the justice departments that never have been involved in a deadly situation. Therefore, they are incapable of ascertaining and discernent in such cases. The general public is out for blood against police officers in general. If our governement does not support our police officers who are out in the public eye, than we are in great harm. I hope your justice department open their eyes and quit playing politics.

I don't know if you are a believer but we are all in prayer for a just and quick close of your case. Don't give up hope. God is great.:)

Unfortunately, in this day and age, we as officers now have, in the back of our minds, the potential political backlash facing us when we use our training and discretion. I know, as a police officer in a small town in Alaska, I can relate to this situation. Small towns can be brutal to work in because everybody is so close. I also know that not everybody understands what we have to do to accomplish our jobs and the fine line we have to walk. Everyday I hear about or read about officers being hung out to dry because they did their jobs. Sometimes you gotta wonder is it really worth the headache. I hope Ferguson is completely acquitted and a lesson is learned from this.
