RBT/Dynamic Simulation Training Event

The Lakewood PD Firearms and DT training cadres would like to invite you to attend our Scenario Development Training. The event will take place on Monday 8/24/09 from 0800 until 1700. The purpose of this training event will be the development of scenarios for RBT/dynamic Simulations. The scenarios will be full spectrum use of force scenarios, including the use of Non Lethal Training Ammunition, IRS (Impact Resistant Suits), Inert OC 10, Tasers, and batons.
Plan on following standard NLTA safety protocols, including full searches by metal detector for live weapons.
The LPD instructors will be testing 2-3 scenarios for later training events in Lakewood. You are invited to attend and observe, to participate as a student, or to bring sufficient instructors and equipment to put on your own scenario. If you wish to put on a scenario, contact me ASAP so that I can arrange training space. The training event will. take place in the adjacent industrial park, and I can arrange warehouse and office space for you to run a scenario with advance notice. We strongly encourage you to bring sufficient instructors to put on a scenario, so that we can rotate all attending instructors through roles as students and evaluators. However, you must be properly trained and equipped to do this.
If you attend as an observer, you should bring:
Water
Eye protection
Orange safety vest
If you attend as a student, you should bring:
water
Gloves
Long sleeved shirt, pants
Eye/Face protections sufficient for NLTA scenarios
Groin protection (unless you want to wear our big red groin guards)
Radio
Gunbelt
Impact Weapon
Taser
NLTA converted training weapon, magazines, ammunition (if you have them, we have NLTA weapons for use, but you should bring ammunition)

0900-1200: SCENARIOS
1200-1300: LUNCH (THERE ARE MANY FINE DINING ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE GREATER LAKEWOOD AREA)
1300-1630: SCENARIOS
1630-1700: DEBRIEF, RITUAL BUSINESS CARD EXCHANGE
