Hey, all!
Jeff Paynter mentioned this forum at the recent DT Pallooza event, and I decided to join.
I received my Instructor cert from Ken in 2001 (just figured out I need to renew!), and have been actively involved in Force on Force training ever since, for DT and SWAT/tactical applications and spanned the gamut of FoF philosophies through the Strategos Low Light Engagements Instructor course, as a Level 1 Arrestling Instructor, a regular member of the ECQC group (Extreme Close Quarters Combatives) both of which do an extensive amount of very close quarters simulations work, as well as the NTOA DT for Combatives Subjects course.
I am a HUGE proponent of FoF training as I have direct personal experience with it saving my life in a critical incident. I do tend to get a little preachy about it because it has hit very close to home for me. Hope to share thoughts, insights, ideas and discussions here.
I am a Corporal with the Vancouver, WA PD and currently assigned full time to the Training division.
